Do Justice

We stand specifically with our Black brothers and sisters in an oppressive, unjust world. We join the cry that Black Lives Matter. Our Black brothers and sisters are being murdered by the police and accountability is not following these violent acts of injustice and racism. We condemn these atrocities.

Many of our community members live with an identity of other and less than, so we pray that the church will be moved to follow the instructions of our God in Micah 6:8

He has told you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God?

We pray constantly for humility, that we will act in the truth of

  • God’s first love for us in and before our creation

  • Jesus’ sacrifice and victory over death

  • the Holy Spirit’s preparing of good work for us

From this foundation, we seek justice and compassion for the oppressed. Naming racism and systemic sin is crucial to continually living in spiritual unity.
