JULY UPDATE

o We are fully open and meeting at 4:30 for both in person and zoom church.

o As of June 30 the governor declared that the state of Washington is fully open so we had our first church service back in the building on July 4.

o If you are sick or someone in your immediate family is sick, we ask that you remain at home and join us through our online zoom platform.

o While we are meeting in person we are still online through zoom so you can be a part of what we are doing. If you have not been receiving the zoom link for Sunday church, please email admin@tierra-nueva.org and we will get you on our list.

APRIL UPDATE

At the beginning of November 2020 we made the decision to start Outdoor Church gatherings under the picnic shelters at Maiben Park, three blocks from our building. We meet at 3:00pm. According to State outdoor guidelines, everyone wears masks and are physically distanced. It has been a big encouragement to see each other.

We continue to gather via Zoom and livestream on Facebook at the regular time of 4:30pm. We also publish the sermon through our podcast.

Since November, the Family Support Center has been open for curb-side assistance, maintaining our regular hours, 11-4, Monday and Wednesday.

Gospels have been postponed, but Psalms continues to meet nightly at 9:00pm - masks and physical distance required.

As of March 12, 2020—Tierra Nueva Leadership made the decision to POSTPONE gatherings of

  • regular Sunday Worship Community

  • Foundations in Kingdom Ministry training at our building.

We will livestream Sunday Worship at the regular time of 4:30 PM - follow us on our Facebook Page to participate. We will also continue to publish sermons on our podcast as usual.

Foundations in Kingdom Ministry with Family Promise will be rescheduled. Catch up on our previous sessions here.

Edit as of 3/24/20: Family Support Center is closed. Numbers have been low and we are working with individual families to continue serving in high-need cases with a drop-off/pick-up system.

Edit as of 3/24/20: Gospels and Psalms group is closed. Community can continue to participate remotely.

We want to still find ways to connect in smaller groups, to worship Jesus, to encourage one another, and remind one another that Truth speaks louder than life.

As I pray, I hear Jesus say, "Don't be afraid." So we don't operate from a place of fear, but seek to be wise and act in love to guard vulnerable people. Let's take care—of each other.

I ran across this today on Facebook and was greatly encouraged by it

Good news. Ready for it?
You need not fear a thing.

Feeling agitated, anxious, or worried?

Remember WHO you are in CHRIST! Remember your identity!
Refresh your mind with His Word!
Spend time worshipping God in your home!
PRAY!
Share the gospel - and the reason for your hope - with those who are worried around you.

Whatever you do - do not let the devil, and his puny weapon of fear, be lord of your life and your future. The devil was defeated at the cross and the grave. He ain't winning anything with fear. No matter what you might be facing, recognize that fear is a lie from the pit of hell. We have the victory and God gets the final say!

Press into God.
Look for His PRESENCE to manifest around you.

Wherever you are right now, let God know that He is welcome in your home, your office, our community, state and nation.

In Christ,
Pastor Mike
