Many new church development leaders who seek to minister to professional and middle class people argue that churches must be user friendly, comfortable places.

The tendency to tailor a church to the comfort level of more privileged people may well set up these churches for failure when it comes to ministries of social justice and transformation.

Professional, middle class people stand to benefit from a theology that emphasizes God's coming in weakness and brokenness and a deliberate learning from and dialoguing with those on the margins of their community right from the start.
